Lifts?

What does anyone recommend as far as suspension lifts? How big? What size tires? Or just what performs well? My rig is a 93 4X4 22re short box reg cab truck. ANY recoomedations are helpful. Thanks.

Well, if you're looking to lift alot, a 4" IFS drop bracket would probably do it for you.
Or. f you're looking for about an inch to 1.5" inches in the front, check out balljoint spacers. Then you can put an add-a-leaf in the rear or get new springs..

33's are a common tiresize and a narrow tire can fit on these trucks stock, is what i've heard constantly.
But if you want bigger tires you'll have to regear the front and rear differentials so the truck is driveable.

It'll probably be said that you need to only lift as much as you need to, but enough that you can do what you need to do. So if you're rock crawling just do an SAS or something. And if you're just doing trails, maybe a 2" inch lift would work, accompanied with a body lift to clear tires better.

It depends on what you are going to use your truck for, decide what size tires you want first, and then choose the lift that needed to clear the tires. Let me tell you this before someone else does, '' SEARCH '' there is all kinds of info here that will answer your questions.

see..since i want to be runnin through the mud all the time..

im eventually gonna get 35's..(not on this rig...i'll get a 3rd gen pickup first..lol)..regear the diffs to 5.29's..maybe a locker in the rear.

then i'll put a 4in. bracket lift..and probably 1.5" bj spacers..

if they still dont clear like i want them to...a body lift will be in order..

but no more than 2-2.5in..lol

yea i've seen plenty of em around here with the same lift and tire size as what i want..

i would go with a 3in body lift just for the extra clearance..but i think it would look better with a 2in.

i'd probably run 35x13.50's..so the 3in BL might HAVE to happen..lol

Well everyone the reason I am asking is because I just picked up the truck and so far it looks like ball joints, conrol arm bushings, ect, ect in the front end need to be rebuilt.(It is a 93) so would it be a good time to do a lift; if I am going to do those things anyway? I would like to run 33x12.5s and clear with no problem. Or would it be better to just replace with all stock components? Are these lifts really as reliable or strong as stock toyota stuff? The lift I am looking at is the pro-comp stage 2 4inch suspension lift??? Thanks.
