Extended Ball Joints??

Extended Ball Joints??
Alright so I decided to throw on my front lift(spacer) the other day and ran into an issue when putting everything back together. The upper control arm was not going back correctly with the ball join.
So I took a picture and asked a mechanic at a local shop and he thought I might need an extended ball joint. If anyone could help that be great.

What are the details on the rig. Year model ? Also your talking about ball joint spacers correct? Is so were the used and dirty? Not being a jerk but I don't seem to see anything new in that picture. Not saying it's a bad thing I just can't see the spacers.
I should probably stick to lead spring rigs. As those are simple for people like me.

Putting a spacer on top of the spring will "lift" your ride, but this is scam if you thinks it is a performance enhancer. The geometry of the given suspension is designed to work as a system in balance between up travel and down travel. What the spacer does is position the balance to be insufficient down travel and excessive up travel. This means the ball joints, tie rod ends, CVs, etc. are all out of balance.
As for a ball joint extender as a fix for the ball joint issue, that just sets you up to need fixes for other things. I know Howe Racing sells ball joints with ball/studs of different lengths to work with their ball joints but they mostly deal with Chrysler and GM stuff.
I think you might want to look into UCA mid travel options.
