Clutch master/slave replacement

Clutch master/slave replacement
Hey guys. My first post here after much lurking and searching.
I kinda feel like posting here with my stock 2WD, is like pulling up to a biker bar on a pink scooter. Flame me if you must. But I will dance on the table like peewee herman before I leave.
When it rains around here, my shifting tends to get really sticky. It was getting particularly bad today, so a check of the fluid showed it was WAY low. I'm used to topping it off every 1-2 months, but it has never gotten so low so quickly before.
It was still visible in the reservoir, but now the pedal feels spongy and I have to pump it 10-15 times at stoplights to get into first. So I guess I have to bleed the system.
The question is, do you reccomend that just go ahead and replace both cylinders (AISIN, by all accounts), or is it easy and effective to try to rebuild them? I know I should check the pedal bracket mount, also.
Never done this before. Anything I need besides a tube, jar, 10mm flare wrench, my standard tool set, and a concrete block to hold the pedal down?
(Oh yeah, and I curious whether anybody else has noticed humidity affecting their clutch/tranny)
Thanks,
Sev

Check the slave cylinder on the bottom, and the master cylinder on top, look for leaks, it usually leaks inside by the where you usually rest your left foot when driving, dont repair them, buy new ones!!

I would replace both the master and slave cylinders.
I just went through this same situation a couple months ago, but I had no problems with the clutch before. Then one day I was pulling into my driveway, and pushed in the clutch and brake, but the truck kept lurching forward. Scared the crap out of me , but I managed to shut it off before hitting the garage door.
I think it was the slave cylinder that was bad, but I replaced both. And I was going to just buy the rebuild kits, but it was only like $5 more at Napa for brand new master and clutch cylinders units, so I just bought the entire units.
