The easiest thing if you want to go slow is just install crawler gears in your existing transfer case. You don't need to modify your driveshafts or anything else. I use Marlin's 4.70:1 gears and they've been great in my '85 4Runner http://www.marlincrawler.com/transfe...01-xd-gear-kit. Lots more info there on that site about other options like dual cases you can read up on. I don't know if he ships to the Yukon, probably though.

Dual cases are nice if you do a 2.28 in the crawl box and 4.70's in the rear case, because you still have the option at any time to independently use the stock low range (2.28 in the front crawl box) OR independently use the Extra low range (4.70 in the rear case) OR Engage both cases and have Dual Low (for the really steep or really rocky terrain.) You will need a new cross member, shorten the rear drive line and lengthen the front, as well as cut an extra hole in your floor board to accommodate the extra shifter(s). I just did all this and it was TOTALLY worth it! In Double Low or AKA "Ultimate" its nearly impossible to stall the truck!... and thats with the clutch fully let out and the motor idling!
