Exclamation blown head gasket/ timing chain engine swap

Hello everyone , I am new to the Toyota camper world. Over the weekend I purchased a 1987 Toyota Winnebago model 75D . The owner gave me a 100% guarantee that it would make it back home (4 hour drive) sadly the engine literally blew up ! oil every everywhere ! had to get it towed and is now currently in a shop. My question is should I ask for some a portion money back? Also I what are my choices for engine replacement ? it currently has the 22re but I was considering a swap to a 3RZ . ? Should I just do a complete re-build on the 22re? I am assuming that the TC (poor running) jumped and as well blew the HG (oil exploded from dipstick) This rig is close to 5,000lbs (100,000 miles) and that little 4 banger seems to not handle that kind of weight its also an automatic, would you suggest a bigger engine different transmission !!! Thanks!

I will be posting pictures a long the journey of re-build/restoration . Any information is greatly appreciated.
