auto trans

auto trans
Sorry to post this. I've done about 4 hours of searching. Seeing information from posts on many sites. Some completely different from one another.
My 87 pickup is an auto. I'm trying to figure out which auto it has. I've seen many talk about the a340h, and many talk about the a340f.
The only things I've noticed is my trans has a cable speedo, not sure if it has a speed sensor. I've seen some sites mention the 22re of that year came with the F trans, while some post that they have the H.
I'm asking because I'm researching what is available for them. I've had several 22re/r's in my life, this truck being the first and only auto. If both transmission models were put on a standard 22re, what can I look for to figure out what I have? I was under the truck today trying to figure out what a shake was when I'd let off the gas. Threw the truck in N, grabbed the driveshaft and found it wiggled up front at the tc. Pulled the 4 bolts and yep, I had to retorque the large nut holding on the flanged piece (name unknown). So I looked but am not sure what I've got. Trans is pretty dirty from the old engine leaking oil. Any specific place I should look for numbers?
Thanks

If you click on the link below, there are charts that list all of the drivetrain components and their nomenclature. There is also a comparison pic of a 340F and 340H, looks like the major difference may be the shifter? Hope this helps.

22re with a340h
This link is not exactly correct. It's missing info on 1987 4runner with 22re and a340h transmission. I have this setup and have read several others having it. I'm trying to find info on weather or not an a340h from 92 v6 will fit in my 87 22re. Info is impossible to find. Any help would be awesome!!!
