Advice Needed-Carb Cleaner in Intake Ports

OK, this may not have been the smartest thing I've done...

As a little background, to replace a starter in a 100 Series Land Cruiser, you need to remove the intake manifold just to get too it. Not fun.

While replacing the starter, I decided to clean the carbon build up on the engine block's intake ports. I used carb cleaner, of which some is still pooled in the ports. I'd estimate about an ounce in each port. After getting everything back together, I started to wonder if this is going to cause problems, or even be dangerous, when I go to start it up again.

Does anyone have any experience/advice with this?

Thanks,
Ken

You should let it evaporatE some but you will probably be alright, the carb cleaner actually makes the engine stall so it may not start right away, you may have to crank it for a little longer.

Tallt, thanks for the reply. It went exactly as you said. I pulled the 2 ignition relays and turned the motor over a few times to hopefully push some of the fluid out the exhaust ports. Put them back in & it started after a lot of cranking. It runs very smooth w/ the intake & throttle body cleaned up.
