1999 4Runner production date
I have a 1999 4Runner SR5 that needs a few parts. When I go to my suppliers, they keep asking me what was the production date, since their system says there is an important difference based on that date. How do I find the production date?!?!

There was a change in emmissions equipment in 1999. Technically the change happened in 5/99. That is why they are asking. They want to know if the 1999 has the early or later equipment. And yes check the VIN tag on the drivers door.
