Loose CV Shafts on 2003 4runner

Did a quick search and didn't find anything. I've got a 2003 4runner in the shop that we did a OME lift on. Came back in for leaks on each side of the center section. Took a look, and there looks to be WAY too much play where the shaft slides into the center section. Anybody seen this before? I'm thinking the bearings are allowing too much movement in the shaft allowing the seals to leak.

How much play is there? I think 1/4" is acceptable. If not I'd replace bearings.

It slides in and out about a 1/4 inch and that seems normal, but I'm concerned about the deflection when I push the cup up and down.
