Increasing height of 4th gen

I've got an 04 4Runner Sport, that I'd like to raise a couple of inches. Can someone tell me the best way to lift a 4th gen without? I'm looking to raise the truck overall about an inch or 2 higher than stock. Thanks, John

If you do a search, there are dozens of options.

I have a 2005 4Runner Limited V6 with XREAS shocks. I installed the TRUXXX 905099 kit. It's a 3" front and 2" rear. About $350 Canadian. Bit of work to install, but I'm very happy with it, since it's designed to work with the XREAS system. Many are not and require you to replace the struts, shocks, etc., which rapidly becomes very costly. Take the 2-3 hour installation estimate with a grain of salt.

It rides as good as original, if not better, and aligned within the stock specs (I specified zero camber for better tire wear on mud tires), although the caster was at the limit. No change in handling or tire wear.

Here's a link to the install instructions: http://www.truxxx.com/pdf/905099.pdf

... and here's a link to the sales blurb: http://www.truxxx.com/product/Toyota...-X-REAS-System

I had 6 suspensions on my 2005. Everything from spacers to custom LT.
Depend what you want and how much you willing to spend.
Cheap - Cornfed or Daystar spacers (2" front + 1" rear or 3+2 Cornfed, 3+2 Daystar) - $350-500
Best buck value - OME (2+2 - 884/895, 3+2 - 885/895) - $750-850
Good choice - Coilovers (Icon, SAW, Fox, Radflo, King) + OME or custom rear coils (OME cheaper) $1500-2000
Great and cool option - Total Chaos LT, Camburg LT - over $5000 + custom rear solution ~$2000

Let me know if you have details or further info on anything...

Are you looking to just level the front (which sits ~2" lower than the rear) or lift both front/rear? All are good options above. I have the OEM rear air suspension, so I can't lift the rear. I chose to level the front out though. When raised a full 2", the fenderwells are even, but running boards appear to be pointing up then. So, I chose to go between 1.5-1.75". This will leave a slight rake but should look great. I have all the parts, just haven't had time to install. I'm doing a set of FJ Cruiser springs in the front (give .5-.75") and a Toytec topout spacer (gives ~1"). This should be a great setup and slightly improve ride. I'll be able to comment more in a couple of weeks.
