3" Daystar Lift with X-Reas, what do you think?
I have the XReas system on my 03. Many of you know that lifting with the Xreas may limit your options. However, I have been looking closely at the shock system and how they are designed.
Heres my idea. I'd like to know if it will be possible or whether I am just wasting my time. Maybe some of the more experienced guys will chime in here.
Since the XReas is a "closed and pressurized" system, it has been said that it would be impossible to open the system to install longer lines or shocks that would be necessary to accomodate the lift. Taking that into account, I am figuring that maybe I could manufacture 2" or 3" shock mount relocators for the male end of the shocks. On the rear, the male or threaded end is at the top. On the front, the male end is on the bottom. Somewhat similar to Steves panhard bracket.
By relocating the shock mount away from the mounting points 2" or possibly 3", the shock system wouldn't have to be opened and the shocks could still maintain their original compressed/extended lengths. If additional travel creates a problem, could I relocate the shock mounts further to meet these needs?
I'm trying to find a way to keep the XReas and lift at the same time. If not, the XReas could always be removed.
Thanks in advance,
Doug M.

I would be interested in that.
I want a lift but not willing to give up XREAS to do it. The XREAS is a dynamic system unlike just stiffer shocks/springs.
