Now, I can't even find a decent bed that isn't too expensive.
i cant believe no1 has asked yet but how does she slide? almost flipped it yet?

I think I have the best bet of just buying a LSD for a few hundred bucks like these guys were talking about. I think it would be really hard for me to find that specific year Supra, on top of that, finding that year that came equipped with the LSD.

Side track, heres the truck today, with one of my other toys in the "bed"

Now THAT is freakin awsome!!!!

(You know you want to put some really aggressive tires on the back of it and go goof off in the sand!! )

It's kind of hard to explain. Like I said, I'm still learning, and I in no way good at drifting at all, just trying to learn. But, that being said, it's a hard truck to figure out. If I do anything in 1st gear, say a drift or a donut, I can control the truck how ever I want, any which way, and it's actually quite easy. But, any time I do a faster drift, say middle-top 2nd, the back end either kicks itself out so fast that I lose control and it spins out, or it'll just do a one-legger. I get frustrated when it does one-leggers, hence the reason I'm looking into the LSD. And as for almost flipping it- not even close. I've never even gotten a wheel off the ground. As whacky as it sounds, the truck feel so stable, even at faster speeds. I play in the back roads with my VW guys and a few Honda guys, and when I put my nice set of tires on, I can hang with those guys all day. I don't know how it does it, maybe because of the 4" drop, but the thing handles very well, and I'm serious!

This is nothing special, just a random clip. Don't get excited, it's kinda lame.

What's wrong with beating up an old truck? And I love the **** outta drifting the yota with 35s now that I've got the 350 in it. And weld the piss out of those spidergears. The 410s I have in my rear right now have lived in my buddy's toy with a 350 in it for 3years, and now in mine for over a weekend, and they haven't blown yet. So if it passes the Clint test, you KNOW it's good. Plenty strong if you don't have your head up your ass, and are a good welder with the right sticks.

Thanks Bumpin'. It's a project truck, and its nowhere near finished, nor pretty, but you'd be amazed at how many thumbsups and honks I get in this thing. No joke or exxageration, I get it ALL day long, from every type of person you can think. Me and my mom spent about 2 hour driving the other day, she counted 3 people honking and giving me a thumbsup just in those two hours. It really is weird how it's such an attention getter, especially when I have my dirt bikes or shifter carts on the back, now THAT is a pretty site, huh?!

I think you got a pretty cool truck. Props for doing something different. At least you didn't write about ANOTHER solid axle swap. I think the 2wd platform would be great for drifting- after all, after 10 minutes owning my first Toy, I accidentally drifted all the way up an on-ramp on the highway... suppose that's what you get when your 2wd long bed with 15 year old bald muds gets driven in the rain with a 16 year old driver at the wheel.

i hear you about it being stable... i've only drifted in the dirt because i don't have that much power behind mine, but it feels nice. Mine isn't even dropped and it doesn't even feel like it's tipping over. I just wish i had that kind of money to put into the truck for solely drifting

So did we ever figure out which is the best rear end for a 2wd 22re pickup. My buddy and I are looking for one. We are tired of spinning one wheel through the turns, hardly any control that way. I've heard that a Mustang 5.0 rear end works in our trucks.
