What size lift should i get

i just bought an 84 solid axle to put under my 94 pickup. I want to go with the trail gear sas kit. My question is how tall a tire will the 3" inch kit clear?
I want to be able to run 35 inch tires. i just dont want to have to cut and rotate the knuckles for pinion angle, are install a dual transfer case setup.

You can always get different leaf springs and shackles to lift the front more.
I suggest Rancho RS 44044 leaf springs and downey 6 inch shackles up front and bilstien shocks 14" of travel. It should give a lift of somewhere close to 10 to 11 inches I believe.

I think you'll find that you're going to need the 5" kit to run 35's unless you want to do some trimming. The 5" kit may still rub a little but you'll probably be able to tolerate it.

Depending on how much rubbing you can tolerate and how much you're willing to trim though the answer could be anything at all. The front of my truck has about 6" of lift on it and I also have a 3" body lift and I can still stuff my 36's into the fender. It's a little different though when you do the SAS.

I have an 85 with 4" springs and it clears 35s fine. The problem you run into with tires larger than 35s is scrubbing the firewall, thus you want to tub the firewall or break out the sawzall.

ya i think im goin to go with the 3" leafs, anyone know if the LCENGINEERING kit is the same as trail gears kit? LC is close by and i wouldnt have to have it shipped

Lc is a dealer for trail gear according to the trail-gear website so i'd say its the same kit.
