The two items in bold, why would the 94-95 have a different TPS? Same engine, right? Just curious. The dealership sold me wrong one for my truck, but I found that it is listed for the 94-95. I'm stumped.

Yea I think its kinda silly too seeing that there are minimal or no differences internally, but externally they are and you gotta get the right one. Look on the TPS and there should be a part number on the metal portion of the casing unless someone pulled it off. Did you check the one that you took off with an ohm meter? What was wrong with it?

I finally got the correct TPS today. I took the part # from mine to the dealership and they just happened to have that one in stock. I'm not sure mine was bad, but after I cleaned the throttle body and intake last week the truck has run like crap. It would start to hesitate and miss at around 2200-2500 rpm. It progressed and got worse. It eventually started doing it at all throttle positions under load. I also purchased a new O2 sensor. I figure I destroyed one or the other, maybe both. I clean it the same way every year, but this year something went wrong. Funny thing is that it acts exactly like my '93 3.0 V6 did when the head gasket let go. There are no signs of that this time though. I don't think!?

Did you check the spark plugs after cleaning? I've heard that cleaning the intake with Seafoam can foul up the plugs, so people put in an old set of plugs b4 cleaning, and change back to good plugs afterwards. Same thing w/o2 sensor. Hope this helps!

Yep, I replaced the plugs. They were in pretty bad shape after the cleaning. That crap form the intake really stuck to them and burned to a crisp. I'm getting all my parts put on tonight. Hopefully all will be well.

UPDATE:

Who would have thought that turning of an engine, letting it cool, cleaning the throttle body and intake, reassembling, and starting back up would result in a bad set of plug wires. The truck ran great up until I did all this. Extreme coincidence, but it happened to me this time. I replaced the O2 sensor and TPS because of the obvioius symptoms, but no luck. Just bought a set of new plug wires and installed, BINGO. The truck ran perfect when I drove it. The wires were only a few months old. Who would have thought? Maybe I should have, but I'm happy now anyway.
