sputtering on acceleration

I have a 92 pickup 22re 80,000 miles on rebuild. I bought this truck from an old man who had a not so good mechanic work on it. It will idle halfway decent but as soon as you give it some gas it will sputter pretty bad, it still has decent acceleration. The timing is good, i replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. I also replaced the coolant temp sensor. The fuel pump is jumped into the fuse box (the not so good mechanic did this) when i disconnect the tps it cuts completely out. The weird thing about this truck is when i replaced the fuel pump it ran pretty decent with the afm unplugged, with it plugged in it runs like ˟˟˟˟ and burns oil. any other 22re ive had they wont even run with it unplugged. Any help would be appreciated. i will post codes as soon as i get them.
