sliding back glass
My 91 4runner has another issue im thinking will be an easy answer. When i put my key in the lock on the tail gate i can role my window down, but when i turn it the other way it will not roll up. i have to get back in and start my rig and use the controle up their to roll it back up. its a pain because i have a 8 month old and carry all his around all the time. Anyone know how i can fix this?
Thank you for your time

Mine is the opposite. I can roll it up with the key but not down.
Ive just gotten used to it.
Its left to roll it up and right to roll it down.
Hopefully someone will know.

we have the same issue. have you ever looked into it? i replaced my motor because it was really slow. (not that hard of a job). but the motor and the key lock area have nothing to do with eachother so i have no clue where to start looking for an answer.

sounds like the issue is in the switch in the tailgate... have you tried any contact cleaner?

NO, i didnt know of such thing. i thought it might just be something i could replace. i just dont know what. lol
when i was replacing the motor for the back window i didnt realy see anything wrong with the back of the key switch. it was very clean and whires were good. it just didnt seem like a peice that could be replaced if needed. im just confused with the whole thing.
