power steering

so today i can home from school for turkey day break and my dad insisted that i clean up the yard tomorrow...leaves and such...so i went to my buddy's house to pick up his dump trailer and i was backing the trailer into my driveway tonight and as i was cutting the wheel back and forth i noticed that my steering was not smooth. it seemed as if it was hitting something. not sure what it could be but it has done this before just not as bad or noticeable. it only happens at low speeds or when im stopped. what could it be? belt? pump? bushings? not sure

Make sure your belt is tight and good (not cracked up and about to break) I have seen loose p/s belts cause symptoms like that before.
