no i jsut lifted the bed on the 22nd bc i was bymyself. well i goter finished this past saturday but i jsut got my computer back cuz we had to have it worked on. cab was pretty easy. my dad helped me and we did the cab and put in a new radiator in about 3 hours. but i got a problem. with the shifter plate on, the gear shifter hits the drviers sided of the bottom of the cab. why is this? if i take off the plate its works fine but with it on it wont. all i need to be finished up is a piece of hose to go from the radiator to the overflow

Also, did you upgrade/replace the bushings at all? I want to do a 1" BL but debating whether or not to replace the bushings as well I am sure they are beat up/rotted a bit.

no i didnt replace the bushings on mine. actually they werent all that bad. i probably should have but didnt.. the bushings on my bed are just about 1yr old so there still good.

oh and actaully there the procomp steelies but same difference
anybpdy know the ansewer to why my shifter is rubbing?????

heres some more pics of me and my dad finishing up the cab. and one of her nice and wet. its been raining for the the past 3 days suppose to rain 2 more days so i ain tbeen able to tighten everything up good

well since noone will answer me in my install thread i figured id post a new one . alright so i put a 4crawler 2inch body lift on the yota. and nwo the transmission shifter hits the shift plate, it only moves up and down. but when i take the shift plate off its fine. is this normal or did i screw somethin up. ill throw some pics up tomoro if i get a chance

You need weld in shifter extensions. They allow your shifter you clear the floor.

im waiting to do a drive train lift so my solution was to remove the boots and replace it with a plastic band and an old cut up t-shirt, works great for now.

crap are you serious? i go tthe ones that screw on. it would be okay jsut to take off the shifter plate and drive it like that for now right?

If your truck is luck mine, all you have to do is move the shifter plate/boot forward a few inches and use self tappers to screw in place.

yep i figured out i could do that. but im thinking abotu just trimming the shifter plate out a little. so does everyone have this problem?

when i did my 3 inch, i bent the shifter forward. turned the shifter plate 180 degrees then trimmed it so i can use 4 low

must be a 3rd gen thing.. no modding whatsoever in the 2nd gens =)

I would just trim your shifter plate before going through the trouble of either extending or bending the shifter.

i beleive im jsu tgna trim the plate like drew said. my tcase doesnt bind at all. but it wont cause any problems driving it without the plate or anything on there will it? i don tsee how it could

I would probbily just move the plate forward. And then flip the inner boot. Should be fine.

Assuming this is a 5 spd, trim out the shifter plate. It is a common problem on any body lift from 1" to 3".
