Noisy VSV - Vacuum leak?

Has anyone ever had a vacuum leak with a VSV valve? I think that's what I have...I have the 4wd 22RE and I have 3 VSV valves mounted on my valve cover...Gray, Red & Blue.

I'm having problems with the gray one, I believe it's related to the A/C system and it's two vacuum lines connect to the A/C idle up valve mounted on the intake manifold...here's the closest pic I found that resembles mine on 4Crawlers site...

My VSV is making a loud noise, kinda like a static sound that you would get from a walkie talkie, never heard this type of noise before but I'm guessing it's a leak of some type. Are these valves fixable or serviceable?? Anyone ever experience this? My 4Runner seems to be running fine, no performance problems, just this noise.

Any suggestions??

Update - Well I figured out my problem, apparently I accidentally switched the vacuum lines running from the A/C idle up valve mounted on my intake to the A/C VSV valve mounted on the valve cover (the gray one). I thought I'd switch them to see if that was the problem...do the simple things first. Sure enough when I did that my "static" noise went away.

One thing to note is that because the vacuum lines were switched I noticed that my check engine light came on shortly after I turned on my A/C. I didn't bother to check what code it was but after switching the vacuum lines back to how it's supposed to be my check engine light shut off the next day. I'm sure the code is related to a vacuum leak. Everything seems to be good now.
