nice ignore...
I give you the cause of the code, quoting the Chilton's manual you say didn't have the codes, and then... the glamour boys take over...
guess you don't really want to fix it.

The first thing Im going to do tomorrow is check the resistance between VC-VB, VC-E2, VS-VC, or Open circuit between VC-E2.
Who wouldn't want the glamor boys?

There are records from the vehicles entire life. Not 100% complete im sure, but I found the original sales receipt from '88. Its not a Cali truck, but was registered in Cali at some point in time.

So if the fuel pump is not working, then the computer tells the AFM to not work, correct? Or is it it only the other way around? Looking through the records, it looks like the AFM was replaced a few years ago by one from Nix99, and there was some other problem before that that caused code 25 and 31, lean mixture and a short somewhere in the AFM, respectively.

there may be a common fuse somewhere in there though....

It says the video was no longer available What was it?
It would probably be in some wiring diagram, correct?
Also, what exactly will I be looking for tomorrow..well, later today, when I test the Ohms in the AFM? I mean, is it showing an actual short in the wiring? Or a short as in something is wrong somewhere else which causes the AFM to not work? <--that sounds confusing but I cant think of more technical terms. If I find a short somewhere what will that mean? say theres a short between VC-VB. What does that indicate? Would it be in Chiltons? Is there a site that would tell me whats wrong?
A $15 Multimeter from Schucks would suffice, would it not?

Just a shot in the dark here cause i dont know if you already checked or not, But did you check the airbox and the airtube to the throttle body?
You said the truck sat for 3 months that plenty of time for some little woodland critter to build a nice little nest n that area and greatly restrict airflow under driving conditions. Which could explain why it ran ok idling but starter to peter out under load.
Dont laugh too hard I have seen it a 100 times...lol

I got it running. I unplugged the AFM plug, looked at it, and decided to plug it back in and just see if it will start. Well it did, and I ran it for about 45 minutes. no problems. I drove it like a mile. ran just fine.I think theres an exhaust leak somewhere around the ex manifold though because smoke was like billowing out from that area when it was first started and running. Maybe the air injection line has a crack or hole in it and thats why its not getting vacuum.

so it seems some corrosion, or just a poor connection on the afm plug was the cause.
it's no wonder things smoked when you got it started- it had seafoam setting in there for how long?
but if it's coming from around the exhaust manifold, who knows? maybe it was some oil or greasy hand prints on the manifold or pipe? or maybe there is an exhaust leak?
