Neading some upgrades for 95 4runner 3vze
well wanting to do a few things to my runner
well one thing is i NEED a new battery, mine died the other night (left done light on)...jump strated it, when for a good drive...everything worked great...know today same thing...
just confused whats the diffrenct beween yellow top and red top?
i came across this one on summit
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ULT-9022-091/
also im goint to be lifting my runner with LC coils, have everything figured out EXCEPT the tires...of course ill be geting 33x12.50...ill be getting new rims...also i talked to my tire guy and he was telling about the width of the rim for the 33x12.50, and the thinest he said i could go is 8 and 10...but he said that pusking it and you realy dont want to go below 10...im kind of worried i dont want to pick the wrong size rim and get m 33's and have some rubbing issues
and also ive seen some people doing electric fan swap...doing so what are the improvements, versue the stock fan?...well of course i know the one i electric lol
thanks and happy new year

I think the difference in a red/yellow top is the cranking amps? I dont know. maybe its just the colors that are different.
Electric fan? why? whats wrong with the stock one? why improve well off?
go with 1.5" BJ spacers and OME coils. you'll have to do some adjusting on getting them to fit correctly, but you could add a 2" BL to fix all the rubbage.

Oh and as for the wheels, either your tire guy is on crack or he's tryin to get you to buy the more expensive wheels. You actually want 8" width, they will hold the bead better and give you a wider footprint when aired down then 10" would. And you definitely should not run 12'" wide wheels with 12.5" tires. 15x8's with 35x12.5's is perfect.

well what he told me on a more skinny rim with a wider tire, the tire will kind of donut so to speak...somthing like those little spare tires that are just round...somthing like that
...one other question, with the LC coil lift do you have to run 33x12.50? or can you just run 33x10.50 or 32x12.50 or 32x10.50 somthing in those ranches. why i ask everyone has 33x12.50 on ther lifted runner w\landcruiser coils...

Your stock wheels are most likely 15x7's, which you could run with 12.5's but i would upgrade to some steel 15x8's, procomp sells some cheap steelies, i used to have some on my 86 4runner with 32x11.5's i think they were series 98's.
You could run anything from 31x10.5's to 33x12.5's and have good looks and functionality.

Differences between Optima Red & Yellow tops. Optima labels Red tops as staring batteries while Yellow tops are labelled for deep discharge as in RV use. Red tops for the same size have higher cold cranking amps but lower reserve. Blue tops are marine yellow tops built for vibrations. Both Red and Yellow tops will work fine in your vehicle. I cannot tell the difference between the 92 Toy with Red vs 93 Toy with Yellow both are 3.0l engines. Need to add spacer to Optima batteries to get the correct height for solid battery installation.
