sooooo... ummmmm.. what if he wheels it and its a daily driver? no need for him to get a flatbed if he dont want it. not sure what your talkin about a tube frame for. gicve the guy a break. x2 on what bain photochopped for ya, and i would go ahead and bob it to. perfect excuse. this may have been posted already but i would just cut out teh whole fender. up above the tire. but thats just my opinion.

ha well I wheel it pretty hard, i mean why else would i have a built yota , but it is also my dd, a flat bed would be sickk, but the next major thing I do to my truck will probably be an exo cage so the flat bed is on hold for now, I found a pic in the 84-85 section that had the bed cut how many of you are suggesting and it looks pretty good, but honestly the way it is now is kinda growing on me, so I guess we will see

I like it. I like the look of the flat bed's too. I just wouldnt like one for my truck. I need the bed to put stuff in...Haul wood in, place for the dog to ride sometimes when is nice out...Throw dead hogs in...friends ride back there with a gun while we drive around the ranch....All my cra....er stuff would fall off it on the side of the road or trail.
I'm a noob here. Can I talk about dead hogs and stuff like that on this forum?
The black would look cool. Fab up some steel fender flairs for how you have it that would be cool, then rhino them black. Neat. unique. I like different.

i have a 80 lux and it had pretty bad cancer around the bottom too so i cut it off from the seam down....it gives more tire clearance and kida gives you a hybrid flatbed look. but i da admire your craftmanship. i was gonna try something like that but i got frustrated and just started hacking crap apart lol

Yes! That's what I was talking about. Man that looks pretty good. I like it because you still get the use of the bed with the tail gate, but you get the clearance and utility look of the flat bed. That looks great with those wheels and tires!

Well I ended up downsizing to some 33s, I still think it looks decent, i will be taking the body lift off soon and that should make it looks a lot better. But thanks for all the great comments and feedback!
