did the check come close to what your truck was valued at? Luckily ive never had anything of that magnitude stolen so ive never dealt with those type things.

Truck looks good though, what did you give for it?

so here's the kind of flex i'm shooting for in the end, possibly more depending on a few things.

well messed with the rear springs today, lowered it 5.5 inches in the back. sitting to tall in the front now but i need to find a factory rear pack before i can mess with that. didn't get a pic of how it sits but here's it flexing a bit.

here's how it sits at ride height now, as you can see the front needs to be lowered.

it honestly didn't look THAT much too high, maybe take out a leaf or two front and rear lol

if you lower it, aren't you going to have to trim quite a bit?

it was really tall, before i lowered it it measured 33 inches from the ground to the bumper, now its 27.5 and i'm going to raise the bumper up, the top of the bed was at my neck and i'm about 5'10' but i have to do a bunch of crap to the front to lower it.
the only thing i'm going to have to trim is the edges of the front bumper, the rear tire tucks in nicely just need to put in some bumpstops.

alright finally started to work on my truck. (mostly cause i got harassed by the police.) so i'm going to lower it about 4 4inches, hopefully get done this weekend. doing RUF and have to redo the steering too. here's what i got done today. got most everything cut off and taken off. there are cutting of the spring hanger so i can move it forward. the last on is about where i want my axle to sit at ride height (that's not ride height though), maybe not quite as far out.

Bumpers to tall, not wide enough fender flares, no mudflaps and my front bumper not being DOT approved. Just got a warning though. So I'm fixing the height and mudflaps now.

got almost everything on the front end done today. still need to do shocks and get a front driveline made but i need to install my duals before that. so anyways here's how my it sits at ride height, axle is 4" forward, it's a 107" wheelbase now. also to the bottom of the front spring hanger it's 24"

Bummer to hear about your 81 that sucks as you already know. As far as the stts go your gonna love them. Flat out the best tire you can get for a toyota I did tires for a long time and put those on everyone's rig I could. One guy got 44,000 miles on a set and only rotated them once lol didn't even cup. They are awesome. I like the replacement by the way good choice.
