I have an 86 4runner and will be scavenging junkyards for rear springs.
What year and models can I pull from that will fit my truck?
While I am there are there any parts/electronics I might as well pull off just to have a spare?

bolt on or do some welding?
If you want to weld on front hangers - the "chevy spring swap" is the low budget way to go.... search... its an old trick.
other parts:
rear window relay box is a "nice to have"
OEM cruise is really nice too'
Tilt steering if you dint have it
SR5 cluster (tach) off of one with the same engine/trans combo
SR5 "map lights" by the rear view mirror
rear seats and belts

I think the problem you'll have is that ll those springs will be just as beat as yours. The rest of the gang can correct me if I am wrong, but one of the issues for the 4runner is chronically underpowered rear springs. Go for an upgrade -- either the Chevy swap mentioned above, or aftermarkets...

Someone had mentioned to me I could pull the springs off, I believe an older pickup and they will match perfect. The springs should have some life off a pickup if it wasn't carrying heavy loads all the time. I cant remember which model or year to be exact. If I do the Chevy swap what make and year am I looking for?
