Lol it's the same reason why people bash each other no matter what you're talking about.
Sports for example, we all love the game (insert any game here), yet my team is better than your team. Even when they are losing lol.
It's not just offroading. It's imports, domestics, street racing, exotics, etc. it goes on and on.
People have their favorites. I'll bet it goes back as long as we've been around. Someone picked up a stick and said their stick was better than someone else's stick.
For the most part people are pretty cool about it.
But then you have those damn buggy guys....

It's all in good fun. Most of my friends drive a jeep or nissan, it constantly goes around. We all have respect for each others rigs and that is what counts.
The only thing I don't like is the people who just don't know and will call every 4x4 and/or especially when a topless landcruiser is assumed to be a jeep.

the only people i usually bash are the mall crawlers out on the trail or those people (jeep groups mostly) who wont open up there events to other rigs. Just get out there and have a good time. And i bash on people who have HUGE motor homes ..........when they are "CAMPING" and wheeling To me camping means you bring everything you need in a very little space.

I agree I am not a big fan of the specific events for one manfacturer. I have wheeled with jeeps ot bad people except I had to keep getting my tow strap out

down here in SE texas the only trash ive had thrown my way were a couple of kids in a chevy pickup at the offroad park, who yelled "shoulda bought a chevy" as i was driving by
well, about 3 hours later, i was pulling them out of a mud hole
never had anyone say anything about my xterra, they always drool over my X, lol
my usual wheelin group consists of a 03 wrangler, 98 wrangler, 95 wrangler, 2 cj-7s, a K5 blazer, 79 bronco, and a 93 sierra
outof the group, the jeeps are the most daring, the blazer is the most consistent, the carbed bronco dies alot, and my runner and the sierra are the baddest

I will agree that I love wheeling with a bunch of different rigs, but there is one group I have issues with and it's not the vehicle, but the owner... Hummer. Now, I owned an H3 for a short time and did like it alot. Like I said, not the vehicle. But the owners all are convinced their H2s and H3s, heck, even H1s are the pinnamount off road vehicles bar none. Well, while they are very capable and stout, they have their ups and downs just like any other. I'm not here to bash, but when I pulled next to that H2 driver yesterday and looked down into his rig, you would have thought I was insulting his grandmother. On top of that, it did not help that the gentleman next to me was complimenting me on my 1st gen 4Runner. 'They just don't build them like that any more'! Oh well, wheel on!
