At any rate 95runner, maybe you could find a mechanic on craigslist who could help you replace the broken u-joint on the cheap if you buy the part?

Steve is a good guy, his family has owned the place for years, he would definitely cut you a solid deal. It's right off branscomb road before the school and the feed store. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about though.

Oh, I left in 05. I still have some friends in Southern Humboldt and lake county. My ex girlfriend is from Laytonville.

Yeah, not much has changed. You saw the Geiger's remodel. They paved the bike/horse trail that goes out Branscomb all the way to the casino road. They also put some new street lights on mainstreet, and repaved that as well. It's looking pretty good.

It's definitely full of Toyota's. my current 90 with 101K would be worth alot out there. Every other 22re I ever had had well over 200K. Although I think I have a drivers side spindle bushing that currently needs attention...The geiger's remodel was crazy. My friend's dad's wife lisa works there, an older broad.

It's tough to beat the steaks from Geiger's. I'm definitely gonna have to check out that wrecking yard, though. Probably not til the springtime, since it gets pretty swampy back there.

It does get muddy, I was grilling salmon before I left, my ex was a vegetarian, the deli was quality. I like the old liquor store with the guy who was always playing latin music, he was a trip.

Haha. There's a guy there, I think it's the same guy as you're talking about, I always thought he was Indian, but he's Mexican. He has an H2 Hummer, also. That guy's pretty cool.

Yeah, that's the guy. hahaha. he owns that liquor store that sells sandwiches during the day. You know what I miss though is that Hamburger stand by the video store. You could get a double cheeseburger for $3. The big chief had good burgers too, but a little more pricey.

Yep, that's the place. Shady Nook has good burgers. I haven't decided if I like the Cheif better, though. Shady Nook is cheaper, so that's always good.

My vote's for shady nook. Based upon price and quality. Although what I really miss about CA is the double double animal style. lol ( since we're talking burgers)

Yep. I do like the malts/milkshakes from the Cheif, though. They've got a Taco Van by the Chevron that's not too bad either. haha.

Never seen the taco van, must be new since I've left. Did you sell your property out there?

Yep. Things were getting a little too crazy with the neighbors, and the price was right, so we sold.

I know land is getting real expensive out there now. How many acres did you have?

Sorry PhoRunner. The u-joint should be an easy fix, don't let a local shop work you. Stormin, land is through the roof out there now man, you guy's should've kept 10 or 20 acres. It is the middle of nowhere. haha.
