well just finished up my head gasket on thursday night and guess what? she started right up! while i was in the area i got the head machined manifolds machined and the valves adjusted. as well as rebuilding the injectors! so im hopin this baby will last another 200,000 if i take car of her right. side notes tho the ignition timing was off so it idled really high. i retarded it all the way and it still fires at 15 before 0. so im sure im a tooth off on the driven gear.

i couldnt help myself but i had to drive it to work yesterday (even tho timing isnt all that great) and i noticed that... well it absolutely gutless in second. this was my first time driving the car and it didnt seem to have any get-up. ive heard people say this is common with the 3.0 hence 3.slow? but is it so bad that its kinda scary gettin on the on ramp to the freeway? haha

or maybe it wil get better once i do the timing? well anyway my 4runner is back together and she looks beautiful!

Sounds like a timing issue to me, but good job gettin her done!

thanks alot man! im really glad too have it back together (minus the timing issue) but im hopin to have it timed by the end of today!
