edit:

The blue part you showed is the sway bar link.

The red circle is the lower driverside link. ALso how are your shocks back there and in the front if it is still leaning?

I was going to say - did anyone even read the post?

It's kind of buried in the post but Red oval = traction bar, which I re-bent the mount for, and Blue circle = sway bar connect, which I cannot get the bottom bolt off of. Is there an easy way to keep the lower bolt from spinning?

Don't you need two wrenches to get that link off? so it doesn't just spin?

Also how are your shocks back there?

Shocks seem fine - as for the two wrenches, so one on the inside bolt and another in between the right-angle? Doesn't look like there's anything in there to wrench onto and there's no bolt coming through to the outside.

Hum i thought there was a spot for two wrenches so it doesn't move when you are loosing it. Maybe thats just for the endlinks that attach to the frame.

Id run out and look but im at work.

It looks just like this, see the left front -there's no end to grab onto in order to keep that back bolt from spinning

I have been working an my 95 Taurus and ran into the same problem yesterday. The sway bar links have a little ball joint with a stud coming out the end of the ball and a nut on the end. I tried turning the rusted nut but the whole thing turns inside the ball joint, ball and everything. I finally had to cut the ball socket off and get a pair of visegrips on the ball to remove the nut and get it apart. The 4runners must have a similar set up. No reusing those things.

So much for pounding this link and re-using it. At least I know I'm not crazy now. Thanks for the confirmation!
