There's your problem. 3.0L = poor MPG. Tell us what you are getting right now, and we can tell you if it's normal or can be improved upon. Manual or Auto?
I got around 16 mpg city and up to 21 hwy on 31's in my pickup with a Manual tranny. With the 33's I'm getting around 14-15 around town and maybe 18 hwy. Tune up is probably the best thing you can do if it hasn't been done recently. Keep up on fluid changes.

go to full Synthetics in EVERYTHING (tranny, t-case, both diffs, and motor)
throw a 22re in that badboy and youll get an increase

My 88 is a straight front 4" TG conversion with synthetic gear oil,a R151F 5 Speed trans,open 4:88 front and back open gears,ran 33's on 10" rims with 23mpg tops and now using 35's on 10" rims with 21.6 mpg recently.Its a 166,000+ mile 22re with a later type plenum,LCE big throttle bore and a Supra non turbo housing with 22re circuits soldered inside,stock cam,DT tri-y headers with 2 1/4" custom flowmaster exhaust,Trail gear bought 6 puck clutch set-up,stock ignition with MSD 8.5 wires,larger than stock hi-amp alternator from Daves off-road and its daily driven to work and mall cruising.

if u dont need ac u could unhook the ac belt in the winter if nothing else ucould probley get like 3 to 4 mpg better thirs alot of drag on the engine form the ac just mo
If you want real results use a different brand of wiper fluid.

can anyone let me know if my gas mileage is normal?
1994 Toyota 4Runner
4x2 3.0 V6 * Automatic *
Rear gears showing as 3.90's (G272?)
Tires are stock, alloy wheels not steel
No mods, fully stock
Has currently 190K miles on it
I get a little over 200 miles per tank, when registered at the pump with the gallons put in, its showing anywhere from 12-14mpg, I'm very light footed, I dont have the ect, or overdrive on.
I'd say I do about 50/50 highway-rural driving.
I'd be happy getting 14mpg as long as I got more than 200 miles to the tank! haha It limits going on longer trips up north quite a bit..l

Time to start a fight...put in a real engine! (read sig) I can consistently get 9-10 L/100km going 100-105kmph. Any faster than that and it goes down fast. Thats with my 36" tsl spare, and a 200lbs tool/stuff box. And have enough power to not need boost to pull most hills, and not have to time my passing to only going downhill.
In americanese, thats 24-25mpg.
My record is 7.4 L/100km (30mpg)
