Beat em' up Truck picture post

I can't seem to find any of when it was old before the body work was done to it. I would go take some pics of the truck but it being covered with snow right now wouldn't really do much of a job showing how nice it is. He also sprayed it himself. Him and his dad used to run a body shop. Its nice when I need some work done to my truck. Got all the tools.

I wish I had a pic of my friends 87 runner. First it started on fire and the whole interior burnt, most of the dash was wrecked but guages still worked. He replaced the front driver and rear seat leaving the passenger empty and spent weeks cleaning it. Awhile after that due to the fire the heater only defrosted one side of the windshield and he decided to take it to the store a few blocks away without scraping and hit a semi trailer flattening the whol passenger side of the roof, luckily there was no passenger seat so his brother was in the back. They pounded it out and stuck a new windshield on it, with a lot of caulking due to the rough shape. Then about 2 weeks after he had it running again they broke through some ice near the shore of a lake and it sunk the whole front end. Took his dad's friends a few hours in a shop to get it running again but they got it. Finally he was pulled over and the officer ordered an inspection, which ended the trucks legacy.

these trucks dont got nothing on the one i found a little while ago..
its my dream truck.. a 1985 Toyota Pickup 4X4 Xtracab EFI 5spd SR5 shortbed. Its the biggest peice of crap iv ever seen but the motor runs amazing and i am thinking about swapiing it into my truck. These pics are from last year.. when i had my corny altezza taillights on
Just for comparison here is a similar truck that i found in mint shape down south in the US with no rust. Its an 1984 Toyota Pickup 4X4 Xtracab SR5 in showroom condition with a 22r with 50k miles on it.

My Buddy was jacking around on an icy overpass.... next thing he knew he was looking at the sky... that's all I got from him. He escaped with a few bruises, somebody's looking out for him that's for sure.

Oh so these are open to non driving things too then. I'll need to get my camera out tomorrow. Have I got a frame to show you guys. Its a 2wd but there really is no frame left. And an 81 thats rotted to nothing as well. The plow truck was great shape compared to those parts trucks.

Thats why they made skis for the plane. We just don't have enough ice on the lakes yet to be on them other than in the bays. We have about 9 inches on our bay but the main lake only has about 4 so far. The plane can go on less than 6 but dont want to chance it with something like it. That picture was taken a little more than a week ago and we are nowhere near the cold stage of winter yet. Its only been down to -30 so far. Its gonna be fun when its -60 at night. Doesn't happen often but when it does the old old trucks are the only ones to start unplugged. And I'll see if I can find some pics of my dads truck. Its a 91 and he had to make the bottoms of the rear fenders and the rockers and cab corners.
Yeah, if you find any pics or that snow happens to fall off somehow, I'd appreciate it. I need all the "can do" inspiration I can get. I've got a hole the size of a soccer ball dern near under my clutch pedal. And that's the beginning....

I live in Fort Frances, ON. It isn't all that far north but we do get some mean cold spells. A few years ago we had a good cold winter with not much snow and ended up with 5-6 feet of ice on the lakes. Had to make extensions for the ice augers to go fishing with haha. I patched a hole like that on my 82 with a piece of 16 gauge metal. Worked nicely. You couldn't see right to the ground through it though as my carpet covered it. On the plow trucks the mice climb in through the holes. I'll look on my dads computer and see if I can find some pictures of his truck.
