bad rings or bad valve stem gasket CONCLUSION!
I talked to Ted today of Engnbldr and this is what he had to say:
He said that most likely I am running rich causing scorging of the rings. In conjunction with runnin synthetic that helped glaze the cylinder walls and promote oil consumption. Asnother reason that the engine is using oil is that when the engine was re-built the rebuilder used a flat honing stone with a drill to clean up the cylinder walls. Ted said only to use the ball brush type and that most likely the pistons are running sloppy.
So botom line if I do not corect the running rich problem the oil rings will be worn out thus worst case scenario using a quart of oil every 300 miles.
That is what Ted call a perpetual oil change. LOL
Lesson learned, DON'T use a flat honing stone to clean the walls!
