I ended up selling the whole truck here locally , some kid from scramento has it now..He was going to swap in a 3.4 not sure if he did end up doing that though.

Yea, the distance is what killed the deal really .

Yup. It would have been a primo candidate for a new project. At least you got what you wanted out of it though. Right now I am gathering driveline parts and hope to find a 88-89 3.0L with a blown motor with no rust.
