Question '94 2WD 22RE - Need help removing oil pan

Hi All,

I've been looking and looking for hard info on removing the oil pan from my 1994 22RE 2WD Pickup and I'm finding common suggestions but not much consistency.

From these two posts ( https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...emoval-143830/ and http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/80...nightmare.html ) I have gathered I need to:

- Remove the crossmember (4 bolts/nuts between the control arms)
- Unbolt and lower the idler arm & assoc. linkage
- Unbolt motor mounts and jack engine up by the transmission
- Possibly unbolt one or both ends of the steering damper
- Possibly unbolt the oil pickup tube

Is this correct? I just want to verify that I have to remove the crossmember, as it's giving me a rough time and I really don't want to do it. Also, would unbolting the transmission mount gain any extra space?

Sorry if this is a redundant question, but I could find any definitive answers anywhere.

Thanks,
Adam

thanks for the confirmation, yeah i just went ahead and did it too. managed to avoid taking the oil pickup tube off. hardest part was getting the bolts out of the crossmember, just had to jack the truck up higher and brace my feet on the frame
