Thanks! So in your 1st picture those are 15's with 225/75/15?

BTW, love the upgrades you've done! You've got a sweet ride! I know I asked you on another thread but please update us when you put on the LCE header, cat and exhaust. I'd like to do the same to my '86 p/u. I'm thinking of going from my 31's back to a stock size tire and wheel... it's a lot cheaper than regearing my 4.10's! I figure that if I left the 31's on there I wouldn't notice that much of a difference but if I switched back to or close to stock size tire/wheel it should move pretty well... backwards I know?

^^^were those your steelies and tires on CL in Bloomington? I noticed there not on there anymore?

Give me a couple weeks and I'll have a pic for you on a '86 (prob won't help you out though)... scouring CL looking for 15" stock Toyota wheels in my area.

actually, I think the 6 spokes in the first pic are 16's with 265/70/16's on em. The set of those I had in 15's had 235/75/15's, if you wait out a good deal, you can find gears for a cheaper price then tires. Either way, it's your rig and if you like it, do it!

Gotcha. I've been searching for the gears but haven't had any luck locally. A guy on YotaTech wanted $500 for his 4.56's but that's about all I've found so far.

I like the look of the Toyota wheels and want to replace the 16+ yr old American Racing wheels I have on there now. Just bought my 31's (wish I would have waited) so I'll have to find something in a 15 inch. Too bad though cause there are tons of Tundra's out here with a Toyota plant being about 15 minutes from my house. Tundra's were made there up until recently.

Sorry, thought those might have been yours. There were some steelies and tires off a '92 Toy P/U for $75 in Bloomington.

I'm a couple hours southeast of Bloomington near Princeton. Haven't had my truck up that way before.

Did you ever check out these '09 Tacoma Sport Edition tires/wheels on CL for $450:

They're probably about 3 or so hours from you?

did you guys have to do any machining of the centerbores on the newer gen wheels, or did they bolt on. Tried to fit some '04 taco five spokes on my '91 and I'm getting interference with the hub, won't seat freely.

I never had a problem with either type of wheel getting them to fit perfect.

Just be weary if you're running larger tires. The offset won't work in your favor I found out by trial and error. Without BJ spacers you might be all right, but it'd be close. I have the sdori bj spacers on my 91 and came across a set of 16" tundra alloy's (the 5 spoke ones like pictured earlier). I spent a bunch of time refinishing them, primed them, painted them black and picked up a set of 285/75/16 bfg all terrain's I was gonnd run as DD tires and save my swampers for play... They baaaarely rubbed against my upper control arm, but rubbed enough for me to not be comfortable with it. if it was a 265 it woulda been fine.. but I didn't have the desire or cash to buy a set of spacers, so I just ended up trading my swampers for a set of pro comp mud terrains.

Here is my previous truck with 98 taco wheels. I am currently running the same setup, I just dont have pictures of my new truck yet.

I just had to cut the center caps with a dremel to clear the hubs.

Sorry man. It's dark and I dont have pics of it yet. I will throw some up soon. Mine is white like yours too. And yes, They are 15's. I would have liked 16's in the same wheel. (yes, they did make 15s and 16s in the same style.) But I had already spent $$ on the new 15in bfgs.

Here is the 91 i just got with some 95-2000 15" Taco wheels...

If anyone has some center caps, let me know, I'd like to cut the centers out for the fronts.
