very nice biuld thread. i am going to have to undertake gears in my 2wd soon, i was not as lucky as you to get a 8" rear you brought up a good point though about the possibility of using a 4wd rear and swapping axle shafts for 5lug, i wonder if axle shafts are interchangeable between 7.5" and 8" it would be nice if i could get a 4wd 8 inch rear and just swap shafts.
