thats funny because ive been a certified toyota tech for 164 months according to toyota. now thats what, 13 years and i agree with mudhippy 100%. on this one. and the idle speed will also affect coolant temps and a/c performance as well. even 1- 2 hundred rpm difference. by the way i just passed my m.d.t toyota test. that means master diagnostic technican.

Yea bottom line, no matter which side of the argument you are on everybody MUST agree that having the normal specified idle speed certainly ISNT going to hurt anything, so why risk it any other way?
