Ouch! For your information they are still blown and I've started to enjoy the diesel like ticking.

Really though I just need a weekend free to pull it all apart and clearance the PAIR system.

Are ya'll talking about the Copper Coat that is a spray used in head gasket assembly?

Yeah, I thought about it, I have read some folks on here felt like they lost a little bottom end with too big of an exhaust. The other option was going to be obx headers on ebay, with a magnaflow 2" cat and pacesetter exhaust from Summit. The pacesetter is 2" before the muffler, 2 1/4 out to a 3" tip.

And I just thought of this Vitaly, Maybe thats why your exhaust is burning hot, time for an upgrade?

I mulled over options with the wife, she told me "just get the good stuff, its not that much more." Can't complain too much about that, right?

I guess if its a little much, I can sell you the exhaust kit and downgrade to the pacesetter.

Yeah, comes in a spray can or a container that looks like PVC glue for sprinkler systems.

And the ticking is the main reason I upgraded. Figured I would do it once. My MPG's have tanked from 24 to 20 since it has gotten worse, now I smell gas out of the tailpipe on startup. So fix the exhaust leak and pull the efi fuse. Between that and the regear, I should be able to hit 25 MPG. Thats the plan at least, sounds good on paper.

*LOL* No worries! I know where it's leaking and why, I just need to grind a little off the PAIR system and it'll be all good.

Thats good to know so I can address that right away. Didn't you have a leak at the connector pipe as well? or was it just the pair system?

There were two small leaks in the connector pipe that I had welded up at a shop, yeah that was a good idea... the damn welds look like chicken poop and still leak a little. I'll pull the pipe and have a friend weld it up on a table for me.

I actually am a teacher although not in the sense that you're thinking. I'm a contractor for the government and only teach about three times a month. The rest of the time I'm online doing courses or maintaining some program or other.

I conisder YT to be a program worth working on.

Although, you should have plenty of time to come up for a RB4R convention teaching 3 times a month, right?.......

Well there's only gonna be two of us at the RB4R convention, so who's gonna teach who?! LOL!!

I'm not sure how much "grunt" you want at what low rpm, considering these motors make torque at the higher rpms. Just blip the throttle and you'll pull thru anything.
