that front diff sure is a sumbitch! congrats on the new gears.

Thanks! Yeah the front was bad, only bc there is no middle point to balance them. When I was trying to lower them to the ground, they just fell off the jack and hit the ground once the crossmember let go of it. Glad there was just me working on it, it harmlessly rolled under the 4Runner across the garage floor.


2Door!! Hope you get it figured out. You have until January 2nd to get it done, or you could slip out of 4wd on the snow run!!!

yeah i should by then. And hopefully i get my cv boots fixed by then, or i might just have to wrap some tape around them

Well I did it. The wife convinced me to get the whole LCE exhaust setup, but it most likely won't get here til after Christmas. I figured I should spend the money before she does. Hmm, what was that movie? Brewsters millions?

header, stud kit, cat and exhaust. Offer up any advice, I saw you had problems with the connector pipe, as well as your pair flanges. I was planning to use this.. http://www.homeandbeyond.com/prod-0087528.html to seal up the slip joints.

If you have any other options let me know. Thanks in advance.

HA! well I don't have the pair system to worry about, just the block off plates, I should be able to grind those down to get a decent seal.

you already have an aftermarket header right jason? If it bolts up to my set up with minor modification, i wouldnt mind taking it off your hands.

nope, just a warped stock manifold. But hey, she owes me. I went to grab the credit card today to pay for it and couldn't find my wallet. I searched everywhere, finally I dumped the recycle bin after an hour and a half of searching, she had thrown my wallet out with the Sunday paper yesterday. And 10 minutes ago I was looking for my wedding ring. I figured I would just go straight for the recycle bin for S and G's, and lo and behold, she had tossed that in there as well. Maybe she has some motive behind buttering me up with these parts? I guess as long as my key still works in the door I am doing ok.

Hey that header is ceramic coated under that "natural sheen"! Besides, I didn't buy it 'cause it was pretty! LOL!

I suppose I could use some toilet bowl cleaner(it is ceramic friendly!) and shine it back up!

Yeah. I did. I had to switch thread pitch to use a different type of locking nut. But that saved me tons of time lining up the cv's. Very nice!

i don't know about 2 1/4 on the 22re might be overkill considering stock is 1 something. so a nice 2 all the way threw should be matched well for it. I'm running 2 1/4 on my 3.4 all the way back and thats bumped up from the 2 inch stock.
