Wouldn't an exhaust help MPG a little assuming you drove the same or similar to how you drove before? I thought it made the engine a little more effient, etc.

The big suprise is the ISR mod. Why did it go down? Are you stepping on it more? What mod did you do? Do you feel more power with it or no difference? Makes me wonder whether to ditch mine & do a snorkle - or would that kill it as well? Is it an open filter?
The low tanks on the ISR curve were with low tire pressure....i forgot to check it and when i did, it was around 25 psi. I am putting my foot in it more. I do have more data to put on the curve, i just haven't gotten around to it. From what i can tell, it will show an improvement over my former ISR numbers. I'm running a K&N drop in air filter in the stock air box. The ISR pipe i'm using is from toyboxfab.com.

What PSI are you usually running. I run 26 in the front and 30 in the rear. Any higher & I find that I wear the middles of the tires faster

If you're running non-stock tire/wheel combo, you'd have to play with the pressures to get it right. I run 31x10.50 15 Michelin LTX M/S tires on factory alloys @ 35 lbs. with no problem. On my Geolandar G051 P235's mounted on factory stock 7-spoke wheels, I run 32 lbs. I suspect that steering gear wear and any kind of lift ( cranked bars ) would have some effect on tire wear and on mileage, as well.

My 91 4runner 5 speed just has manual hubs and 32 inch tires. I've only checked once but I had 16mpg with city/highway driving. It probobly would be much better if my engine wasn't at 3k rmps when im at 65. Also, I pretty much floor it through every gear witch probobly doesn't help but even floored I'm holding people up behind me when the light turns green. Does everyone else have to floor it just to get around?

3.0 5spd MPG

I'm in Washington state, most of our freeway driving is stop and go so my combination of that and city driving ranges from 15 1/2 to 16 1/2. My average straight highway driving is 17 1/2 to 18. I have on a few occasions gotten up to 19 1/2 on long highway trips. My 4runner is a 95 with 31.1050x15 tires K&N air filter and amsoil in the engine.
