id say tahts average. i mean, once i got about 250, but that was all flat freeway driving.. but average city barely will hit 180... it all depends where you live.. im going to seafoam and see how much of a difference it makes. search around if you want better gas milage, but keep in mind... its a 4runner, not a honda civic...

I don't think its that bad, have you done a tune up recently? fuel filter?

http://www.webwinder.com/wwhtmbin/java_mpg.html

i use that website every time i fill up , i track my mileage every time i refuel, i always remember how many gallons i put in and reset my trip. So last time i got 19 MPG, its kind of fun to see how many mpg you can get,i find myself trying so hard not go past 2K rpm and try to hit every green light.

In a 4 cylender pickup? Even with an auto, you should still get 20+MPG

ive got bfg a/t 32x11.5's and i still manage 22-23 highway.

thats pretty bad. quick math shows around 16.7 mpg. should be able to do atleast 18-19 city unless you're just on the skinny pedal all the time.

x2

If it were a 3.0 I would say that is fairly common.

Except for me of course. I am a proud owner of a rig that gets 11 mpg!

216728 odometer
228.3 miles
15.331 gallons
3.0
35 x 12.5 x 15
60-75 mph
5 speed
5.29's = 14.87 mpg
Your 224 miles not to bad all things considered

OOOPPPSSSS ya I see now the correct post my bad

Man I guess he's got fuel mileage issue's if its a 4 banger.

I would suggest a new fuel filter and tune up then. If that don't work maybe an 02 sensor.

Even with the 3.0 I can get almost 20(sometimes) in my 5 speed 4runner. I've driven a 3.0 pickup, and a 22RE pickup, both 5 speeds. I got 24+ with the 22RE, and around 20-21MPG with the 3.0. I've driven an auto pickup with the 22RE, and It got around 21-22MPG. I think you may want to consider a tune up....,.

harley, is that mileage corrected for the difference in tire sizes? theres a huge difference between 35's and the stock tires, even if you had 31's stock.

4k? fuel filter should be ok for 100k. when was the last time the o2 got changed? it should be done roughly every 100k on these trucks. plugged cat is also another possibility.

how many miles does it have?
