17" rims vs 15" rims

im looking at a like new setup of 35" bfg a/t but with 17" rims. ive always had 35x12.5x15. any major differences besides the rims being bigger? do they look funny? they are a great deal and i am in desperate need of new hoops.

anyone with a 91yota pickup with 17" rims have any experience?

Thanks

I have 17" on mine in the winter. I put them on early last year & went wheeling and I noticed the ride was a lot bumpier due to less sidewall to flex. This was running 31x10.5 tires. Since you are using 35" tires you probably won't notice as much if a difference, but they will be a little bit harsher of road. On road the 17" rim was a lot nicer ride - had more control due to less flexing - hope this helps
