Throttle body

I have a 85 SR5 4runner I bought for $400. I got it running but it would not idle cold. I found a site were you could swap the upper intake/throttle body from 89-95 22re. I did the swap and now it runs great and have had no problems with the idle. The probelm I'm having is when you left off the gas and when you get back in the gas it will jerk. I replaced the throttle cable to a new one. I have adjusted the throttle cable several ways and it still does it. Has anyone done this swap and had this problem?

A little more info is needed, what do you mean that it jerks when you get back on the gas ?, does it feel like the butterfly in the throttle body is sticking or is it something else ?. I have the upper intake and throttle body off of a 90 22RE (same set up you have) that i havn`t put on yet, so besides the jerk did you notice any performance gains ?.

It almost acts like a carburetor spring that is to tight. I cleaned the throttle body before I bolted everyhting back together. Its hard to describe but its very annoying. I did find one thread where a guy keep his old throttle cable and put a return spring on the throttle linkage, I am going to try this if I can not get fixed with the cable that is on there. I did not notice much performance gains. I do like this swap because it eliminate the idle control valve that was on the '85. The idle control valve is located underneath the the new throttle body. Here is the website I used for instructions
http://www.siestaoffroad.com/tbody.html. The other nice thing is you can get a cold air intake w/ filter off a ebay for 45 dollars for this setup.

I just ran into this problem when I cleaned my throttle body a couple of weeks ago. I had to adjust the TPS. Mine would buck pretty back when I got back on the gas as well.
