Take off steering wheel and turn it 180 degrees. To get to it remove your horn (should be a screw maybe two on the bottom) I believe it slides up (towards normal top position) and then remove the center nut holding the steering wheel, and rotate.

Sounds like something slipped, time for high steer?

I bent my tie rod pretty good last time I was out wheeling, for me its time to ditch the stock push/pull steering setup and convert to high steer. Just ordered up everything I need for the swap last night

Sounds to me like you bent something. If it's not pulling, then probably the drag link.

Are then ends of your drag link parallel?
Is there excessive play in the wheel?

I Wedged myself last year on the Rubicon and broke my stock steering. It both bent the J-arm and shatted the coupling between the J-arm and the Drag link.

Have you jacked the front of the truck up and played with the steering, turing the wheels by hand? You'll have to have the steering column unlocked to do so.

After breaking mine, i converted to crossover steering and couldn't be happier!! : ) But I also added Power Steering while I was at it.

Good Luck with it

BTW Great Lookin' Runner!!

It's not the cheapest setup out there, but i like the www.4x4labs.com crossover setup. Check it out, it moves the tie rod behind the axle. I don't have any experience with it, but someone showed me the website a while back and I like the concept a lot.

Keep us posted as to what's the issue and how you resolve it. : )

See if you can barrow the money to buy the hi-steer setup. Its a much safer system and will hold up better on the trail. And with your stock setup giving you problems, its the perfect time to upgrade

If that's an option, I would Definitely Jump on it! Just keep in mind that you'll have to purchase an IFS Steering box also. Be it rebuilt, new or used. I went the Used route and also got the Power steering pump with all the mounting hardware for the same price that I found just a rebuilt box for. But I assume you have PS, so it'll be cheaper just to pick up a used steering box.

Steering is one of the most important components of a vehicle. You need it to work, be safe and Reliable at all times!!

Good Luck!
