right(but WRONG) a/c compressor bracket

'85 22RE

I found a bracket that looks like the right one for my A/C add-on mod, painted it , and then I go to mount the Denso (PN# 10P13C) compressor and one bolt hole (top rear) is about 1/2" off ? (to the rear)

Ok time and money waste aside, I am looking at Village Toyota group drawings online and they have two brackets listed, 88431-14130 and 88431-35090 ,but I can't figure out which one is which and if it fits this compressor? Its too late today to call and ask them, and besides how do I know if I will be talking to someone who knows their s#%t ?

heellllp!

I had the same issue, but i got a compressor used and it didnt match my bracket. the pulley lined up so i just mounted it with the 3 bolts, should be more than enough. its been working great.

I considered using only three bolts if I am forced to, but I'm gonna call Village Toyota and see if they can tell me anything. I've never done business with this outfit before, hoping they aren't the kind of place that lists stuff they don't have just to get you onto their site.
I'm also wondering about the bolt tightening sequence as this thing does bolt down around two planes of the block and timing cover, probably in the FSM, so far I'm working on getting the best part I can.

If nothing else, you got enough bracket there to drill and tap a hole for the 4th bolt??

sorry about the time lag to reply, been having connectivity problems with DNS lookup service.

But I am happy to report that I found the correct bracket for the compressor I have ( Denso 10P13 ), used my thinker and checked with the pack rat/22re builder who built my long block. He has a ton of stuff in severely unorganized storage. I had never seen one but knew it when I saw it.

here is the bracket I had, this is for a Denso 10P15 compressor, comes in 4Runners

this is the bracket for the Denso 10P13 compressor I have. It is the Pickup Regular and XtraCab piece

at the top left of each bracket is the physical difference between the two, the 4runner piece has the threaded boss kicked about 1/2" to the rear of the vehicle, all the other mounting holes to the block are are in the same places, when you add this to a truck the timing cover bolts that go in the front of the block have to be a little longer, at this time they are all still available from Toyota. (the bolts, brackets are NLA)

I have learned a lot about air conditioning adding this entire system to a truck that never had any, thinking about doing a write up for anybody who might want help doing the same nutso project.

Does anyone know what it would cost to install A/C in a 1987 with a 22r motor?
