I Heart California - Dynamat Installation

pulled out my seats and pulled up the carpet to lay down some dynamat to see if i can get road noise reduced a little and hopefully help with vibrations.

one interesting thing i found was a wire underneath the drivers seat carpet. What would this be for? i was thinking maybe a rear dome light in a extended cab?(you can see the plug in the first picture just to the left of the tcase shifter.

Check out these rust free pics.

It may be the plug to the seat belt warning.

interesting, that would make more sense considering that my seatbelts/seats are from a celica. but then again i would think they would use something very similiar in a celica.

Theres only two wires under there. One is the seat belt warning and the other is the O2 sensor wire.

PS nice lack of rust! Jealous!!

just finished installing dynamat on the doors, floors, and rear panel in my truck and it makes a very noticeable difference in road noise.

The factory seat belt had a hookup on it and that's where it plugs into. I noticed that on my Runner when I stripped the interior out to clean it.
