I think the one is a W56

And the other is a G52

But I am not for sure?

And yes I have looked at marlin and cant not tell the difference in the pics.

I picked up the pair for $150.00

One looks to be a G52 from a factory SFA(forward shift t-case), the last looks to be a W56 from an IFS(top shift t-case)...

Not necessarly...
The g52 came from factory with the 22r. The w56 with the 22re. Solid axle yotas came with either the carburated or fuel injected engine in 1985 so it was up to what engine it had. To ad to the confusion some ifs trucks also came with the carb. 22r as well as fuel injected. And the newer w56 c-d are forward shift unlike the earlier w56 a-b which were topshift.

To OP,
the first pic is a g52 from a carburated 22r from 1984-1988
the second is a w56 a or b from a fuel injected 22re from 1985-1988
Also the g52 looks very similar to the r151f aside from a different bellhousing and stronger ribs along the casing. It was also topshift, the easist way to distinguish the two is the r151f has a plug covering a circular hole at the bottom of bellhousing

New bearings and synchros is a job best left to the experienced, unless u have the appropiate tools
