85 toyota oil presure/water temp gauge help

Hi, I have been having problems with both my water temperature and oil pressure gauges not working for a while now and have finally decided to try and fix the problem. The cluster is a stock sr5 using factory wiring harness.

Here is what is happening, when i start the truck the oil pressure seems to work normally and water temperature does not work at all. after about 10 minutes of driving the oil pressure gauge drops completely off and the water temp starts working fine!

Now i unplugged both sensors and just noticed the oil pressure is registering about half while the engine is not even running?

both the volt meter, speedo, fuel, and tach work correctly

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The oil presure gauge and temp gauge are seperate from each other in that one should not effect the other. The sending units for the oil and temp gauges can go bad and either not work at all or only work sometimes. I would try replacing the sending units and see what happens. The sending unit for the temp gauge is about 14.00 dollars, not sure how much the sending unit is for the oil presure gauge.
