swapped out buckets for a bench and threw some of the interior back together today
hooked up 99% of under the hood stuff now one wire left and the battery
doors 1 in primer next on is about 1/2 hr away from being primed
looking for opinions on the hood. I have the opiton of doing a custom hood by combining a mustang cobra hood and my stock yota or just running the yota. im leaning twords the cobra hood deal.

saw the repair work on the door and did a double take on the fire extinguisher..
first thought--oh no!! not Lambo doors
first glance thought the extinguisher was part of a hydro set up for the door..
the detail is great on your rebuild
edit: oh and on the hood: Al's CHop shop has a double cowl intake on his hood and there is another one on pirate that looks pretty dang cool. For some reason Al doesn't think a 12 pack of beer and my hood is a fair trade for his hood...
I say go for it...if it doesn't come out right a stock hood is easy enough to find

here are the pics from today
axle is disconnected and just have shackles left to get out of the way so that i can under coat the frame tomorrow.
started cleaning up front axle
finished undercoat on gas tank
tomorrow seat belt latches undercoat frame from radiator to bed mount.
clean up axle.
also here is the picture of the hood i have to use i would cut out the feature lines and panelbond it to the toyota hood and do some fiberglass and filler work to finsih it out. what do you think bout middle section formed into a stock yota hood. i think im gonna use it

i would but i have about 2.5 ft infront till the wall so its hard. the hood is about 1.5 ft longer than the normal toy hood so its going to be a lot of moddin but in the end it will be a good fit .
anyone know how much back space you can run and not rub on a set of 37 x 12.5 x 16.5's i am running 39.5's on 15x14 rims and do not rub on frame at all just wondering if anyone has figured out how much you can run without rubbing in front or back

its actually a good fit for the truck a little taller than buckets but all in all it fits the front rail well.
i just put it in the truck and i have it off set to the passenger side about an inch so that the drivers seat is centered and just more practical for a carseat.
marked the spot for the holes drilled them and bolted it in i had it al ldone in about an hour. then refit for carpet was about 1/2 hr

Looks good, I kind of wish I would've started mine by doing things this extensively but I'm not as patient and it's gonna be wheeled to hard to look pretty for long. Keep up the good work.
