1983 Build/restore thread

My granddad left me his 1983 4x4 that he got brand new when he passed away. I have a lot of fond memories in this truck. I actually learned to drive a standard in this thing. I have had it for about four years now and it is time to start dropping money in it. I have been trying to catch up on replacing parts that should have been done ten years ago but I am just about done with that now.

My plans right now are to get it painted inside and out, replace the seats, and replace little things in the inside that are broken or missing. I am going to have to find a new dash mine is a little beat up but that will be down the road. I have just about everything I need to paint it right now except the plastic and filters to set up a booth in my garage but I can't paint it till it warms up so I have time. I have been looking at seats but all the buckets I can find online are 37" tall at the back and that doesn't leave any room so if anyone knows where I can find some racing buckets with lower backs preferably around 28-30" that would be great. I am waiting on a new alternator right now, got the truck stuck in a 6' snow drift and had to get a skid steer to dig it out. After we got them dug out my alternator decided to die on me. I found a denso for 60 bucks it should be here in a few days. I apologize for this being all over the place I type as I think so nothing is in order. I am going to try to do a step by step when I paint it. We are going to use JetGlo paint on the outside and if I can find the colors I want we are going to use JetFlex on the inside. As soon as I can get my wife to help me out I will post some pictures, she knows how to do all the stuff on the computers I try and stay in the garage. I know this isn't very in depth yet but I am still trying to prioritize my to do list on the truck. When I have more time I will post a more complete list.
