Info and photos on topper window removals was awesome Thanks. After seeing the photos of front(top) window removal I'm going to pass. I have another perfect top in a different color and was debating color chage v. window change (current top windows are eat up with rust). The good top I have appears a little different though. It does not have the texture paint job (although it looks original) and does not have a rear wiper, motor of even mounts! Earlier year? Will it still work?
Thanks,
Jack

thats weird i was sure that all tops came from the factory textured and all had rear wipers. maybe someone filled the hole and took the texture off. I decided that im going to respray my top, i'm just not happy how it turned out. this time around im going with a bc cc no more single stage for me going to be doing all cars now with bc clearcoat. I might even spray oneside of my 84 i got looking at it and it looks like something fell against it pass side right by the tail light

What about the trim on the windows you cut out of the top? Where did you get the replacement stuff? I am certain the dealer would want a fortune for it.

are you talking about the adhesive they used to put them in or the trim. i'm planing on just urethaneing the windows back in and calling it good.

Very nice work! :bigclap:

Looks like the rain does back off occasionally on the west side of the state.

I remember doing that to my 86 a few years back. Lots of work.

Keep em coming.

haven't touched them paint wise, i drove the 84 for a few months to work and back then bought a metro for gas millage rig. the 88 sits at my parents waiting for me to build a motor and fix that dent. i started work at a body shop about 8 months ago and have acces to a very nice booth and a nice ppg mix bank. I was acualy planning on repainting my 84 either a yellow or an orange then, painting the top gun metal grey yep I change my mind alot
